WHO WE SERVE

Contract Manufacturing Companies

Manufacturers that contract (outsource) with a firm for components or products.

We serve contract manufacturing companies.

Your business may rely on contract manufacturing because it represents a cost savings and allows them to maximize their resources vs. the expense of upkeep for expensive equipment.

There is not a one-size-fits-all process. We support processes for contract manufacturing similar to what is outlined below::

1 A company looking for a contractor will reach out to MaRCTech2 with details of its project and recommendations for contract manufacturers to provide bids. This is especially common for government projects.

2Upon reviewing bids, an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) selects a few manufacturers to discuss the opportunities.

3Based on these discussions, the OEM selects the contract manufacturing company and makes an agreement to work with them.

4Typically, the OEM and contract manufacturing company have a contractual agreement. This agreement outlines a specific job the contract manufacturer must complete, within a timeframe and budget. The timeframe may be defined as hours, days, weeks, months, or years. Manufacturing contracts can last between 3 and 5 years but vary greatly depending on the nature of the project.

5On occasion, they eliminate the timeframe and put in place a goal with a measurable output. This contract in writing is beneficial to both parties to establish accountabilities for all concerned. If an OEM is working with a foreign contract manufacturer, written agreements help bridge language barriers.

6Upon being hired, the contract manufacturer produces the goods or performs services for the OEM. (Which might be for a project or a regular basis.) The OEM company logo is applied any goods before shipping.

Contract manufacturers can also design goods and plan services based on customer requirements. During design and planning, they take into consideration details like product volume request, required frequency of product delivery, product quality standards, intricacy and precision of design required, custom product design requests, shipping distances, and the like.

We facilitate these steps and support the OEM and contract manufacturer each step of the way.
