We are pretty excited about this about this announcement! Triad Magnetics is one of our premiere manufacturers. Triad is a leading manufacturer of power electronics and magnetic components with over 80 years of experience, has inaugurated a new production facility at its headquarters in Perris, California. This expansion enhances the company’s U.S. manufacturing capabilities, focusing on custom products to complement its Philippines factory, which produces the majority of its offerings.
With its diversification of manufacturing plants in the Philippines and the U.S., the vast majority of its customers should not become impacted by new trade tariffs.
Advanced Processes
The new facility represents a $1.2 million investment and was completed in just nine months. It features advanced manufacturing processes such as:
- Automated winding
- Toroidal winding
- Planar assembly
- Fine wire winding
- Copper foil winding
- Termination/soldering
- Gapping
- Varnish
- And potting.
The facility specializes in producing audio, power, planar, toroidal, and switch-mode transformers as well as inductors and current sensors.

President of Triad Magnetics, emphasized the strategic importance of the expansion:
“This new facility focuses on custom products and provides an alternative for customers requiring domestic manufacturing amid rising tariffs on imported goods. Our California engineering team’s decades of experience ensure we can meet unique project requirements with rapid turnaround times”.
The facility is staffed by six full-time production specialists trained to handle the precise demands of small-scale components. It also offers in-house engineering design services alongside on-site manufacturing for small-batch custom solutions made entirely in the U.S..

Ongela Starks
In addition to this milestone, Triad Magnetics recently promoted Ongela Starks to Sales Manager. With over 30 years of global electronics industry experience - including 10 years as a territory manager for Triad - Starks now leads the sales team.
Triad’s enhanced U.S. manufacturing capabilities now include automated winding, toroidal winding, planar assembly, fine wire winding, copper foil winding, termination/soldering, gapping, varnish and potting. The product mix available for custom manufacturing in the new facility includes audio, power, planar, toroidal and switch-mode transformers, also inductors and current sensors.
Triad Magnetics operates from a 38,000-square-foot headquarters in Perris while maintaining a large-scale manufacturing plant in Carmona near Manila in the Philippines. The Philippines facility employs 1,200 people and is equipped with state-of-the-art machinery certified to high global standards such as ISO 9001:2015 and TS 16949.
